Joyous and heartbreaking... expansive and breathtaking... intimate and risky. The exploration of memory loss is powerful and poignant. This stunning piece of dance theatre should not be missed.

A playful exploration of memory and forgetting. A, My Name Is… builds upon choreographic fragments culled from gestures based on memories of heightened experiences. Inspired by the phenomenon of gravity, the piece is set in a space littered with apples. The vocabulary in this dance grows in the same way as one’s language skills develop over time. This work is a reflection on aging and disappearing in relation to memory, movement, words, thoughts, and investigates physical notions of gravity, repetition, disappearance/presence.
